DETROIT, MI -- For as many times as I've flown out of Detroit Metro Airport on Northwest Airlines, I have never departed out of Concourse B or C. It's always Concourse A which is just a really long hall with 78 gates and some pretty fountains. My amazing run came to a halt this Thursday when I flew to Richmond, VA from gate C11. I'm heading to Virginia this morning for a quick overnighter. I hope to have some interesting encounters to report. Had to post this before I leave for the airport, though. Last night over spaghetti, my seven-year-old daughter asked if we were eating cow, pig, goat, or what as she devoured a meatball. After learning they were made from a cow, she happily exclaimed, "Mmmmm! I love cow's balls!" "Like mother like daughter..." I told my wife. That went over well.
